I just finished them about 40 minutes ago. I posted some pics on my blog (address below) if you're interested. They looked great when I finished them, and now I see nothing but flaws, lol. I guess I was desperate to be done!

Man, am I tired!!!

Looks great! Awesome job momma, big props to you for making them. I think that's awesome in itself, I wish I could sew!

Yes, I ususally start in July. This year it wasn't until August. Usually I only make 3 out of the four costumes. This year I made all 4. I think my DH was ready to throw me out from the stress. I actually had to have them done by the 23rd for their preschool party so I had to finish them a week early.

My advise. Use shortcuts as much as possible, quit and take a break when you are starting to screw things up on the sewing, and have a nice glass of wine when you are done.

You are a freakish overachiever Loren. Laura (lvtriplets) did that last year and this year, they were only wearing skeleton SHIRTS. Not even pants. Yours might go as identical triplets next year, I hear.

Do you know any good places to get their costumes?

Oh I feel for you! But they turned out so great! I do own a sewing machine that my dh got me a few years back when I mentioned that I want to learn how to sew. It's been used exactly two times... neither by me! Maybe I'll learn and next year I can do my kids' costumes. But for this year, I did Ebay.

They are fab!! You did great, sleep deprivation and all! Your girls are such cutie pies. I LOVE to sew, but after last year I gave up on the Halloween stuff for now. Maybe when I'm out of college! I do like to make curtains, little summer pillowcase dresses, but anything with a deadline FORGET IT!! I will put it off until the last minute and then I'm rushing around sleep deprived like some other crazy woman I won't mention, but I can sympathize with being willing to drop a ton of $ on some at that point.

You did a great job!

Becca
