Well, nothing too exciting going on here this week. We have all of next week off for Thanksgiving and I've been pushing for a deep cleaning around here, so I'll be working on getting all of that done this week. I spent a whole day each last week deep cleaning the play room, family room, kitchen, living room and dining room. This week I want to target my pantry and office (the black hole.) Then I'll be done (only to start all over again, lol.) Friday was the end of our 1st trimester here.

I do my best to buy the top items on their lists,typlically my girls want the same things so two of each and then I try to match the budget for my son.

Finish Sewing my curtains - construction was completed on my house just over a year ago and I am STILL working on my curtains. Getting divorced right after moving kinda messed up my sewing progress

Try to keep the money the same as well as the number of gifts, which is easier said that done. Some big items, like the Wii, they're going to have to share.

With three boys - I usually get them 1 or 2 things they each want- and a couple of toys they can share

I have all boy trips, so they usually get the same or something really similar so far. I try to average out the cost amount for all of them

2. What are you reading right now? A book on Eleanor of Aquitine, but it's not very good I'm about to give up on it

Hi all -

Kim you inspire me! I have been dying to do a thorough cleaning in my house and can't seem to get past the pile in my office that I feel I need to organize first! Good work!

1-We just think about what we want to get them - they do not do a wish list so we can generally think of what they would like/what we would like them to have and go from there. We have traditionally gotten the same for each or something similar but this year will be different. they know it is a "small " Christmas - got snowboards and boots in Oct and will get something from Santa (one thing each) and some relatives. That said, Casey's Santa gift is a drum set (we are getting a used one from a friend - should last him years) and we have to think of something for the others. Theirs will not be as big but we do not think they will have a problem with it as they each have their instruments and Casey is on his 2nd yr of lessons with just a drum pad. (Sorry for the long answer!)

I have them make a list. They all want different things, but I make sure they get an equal amount of gifts. I don't really have a dollar amount. I just try hard not to go overboard.
