My kids want these for Christmas (or their birthday which is 4 days before Christmas! lol). They have had Leapsters for quite a few years now, but do not play them very often lately. More because of school, homework & activities. I am not a big fan of video games. But with limitations I think they can be okay. We have a Wii and they are only allowed to play it on the weekends and even then it's limited.

These DS things are SO expensive x's 3! Anyway, anyone have thoughts on them? My gang will be turning 8. I am having a hard time thinking of things to get them! They got new bikes at the begining of summer. Any other ideas for 8 year olds? I figure if I start shopping now it won't hurt so bad! lol
