So I think one of my boys has a "girlfriend" and she is OLDER and he is only in kindergarten LOL So there is something that I don't really know what to do about. 3 times he has come off the bus with something that this little girl has given him. The first day it was something she made, the second day it was a rock, and today it was a calculator on a lanyard. She is the bus driver's daughter, so she (the bus driver) knows that she is giving these things to him. It seems weird, and I feel like he should give atleast the calculator back to the little girl. Or should I just leave it alone?

First of all, hold on to your hat. My son started last year with a girlfriend and then two. Come to find out he asked every girl in his class to marry him and got upset if they said no. He now plans to marry the one that said yes, live in my house and have 18 kids (he saw the Duggars ONCE). He's keeping the other girl on the back burner just in case! LOL. The funny thing about this is we are not the kind of parents that jokingly say to their kids "looks, like you got a girlfriend" or anything of that nature--he came up with that on his own.

Seriously, you might want to check with the bus drive to see if she knows her daughter is giving these gifts. It may be happening while she is driving and not paying attention to what her daughter is doing. She might be sitting home right now wondering where her calculator is!

Too cute. My son has a girlfriend too. He wants to marry her and have five boys and four girls.

I talked to the girl's mother and she said that her daughter said Gregory is her boyfriend. So it's a mutual love.

Ask the bus driver if she knows! This is like the Love Boat in kindergarten.

This whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing in kindergarten is too funny. One one hand, I find it very cute. On the other hand, it makes me a little nervous.

One day, Nicholas and Alexis told me that Jade has a boyfriend. They said Alex is Jade's boyfriend. Jade proceeded to tell me that this boy Alex is very cute. Alexis agreed that Alex is very cute. So I started asking what this boy looks like. Alexis said to me, "Well mom,if you were a little kid you would know that he is just very cute". He must be a very good looking boy because today they told me that this girl Emily in their class said to Alex " This is going to be very hard for me to ask but will will will you you you be be be my my my ...uh uh" and Jade finished the sentence for her "boyfriend?" Then Nicholas said Alexis' boyfriend is Christian and she agreed. Christian is this sweet boy who defended Alexis when another boy tried to steal her lunch one day.

It probably is harmless, but double check on the calculator just to be safe. Brett has a girlfriend also, We have become friends with her Mom & Dad since this little romance came to light. They hold hands & hug all the time. When Shelbie comes over for a play date they all have a wonderfull time together & hug/kiss goodbye when she leaves. They are in the same class and have speech together as well.

Who knows maybe I have already met my future DIL!!!

Happy Groundhogs Day!!!

I would just ignore it. One of my 6 yr old triplets has unbelievable mojo. He's always attracted a LOT of female attention. Until a couple of months ago he had 3 girlfriends. And he has several other girls that have crushes on him. My 12 yr old son is very jealous! I just ignore because my son likes these girls, but he doesn't have romantic feelings for them. I don't encourage it either.

It is kinda cute though!

One of my twin boys had a girlfriend in Preschool. She wasn't even in his class. She was in the class adjacent and would draw him pictures every day and give them to him. He had no clue what a girlfriend meant. He just thought he had a friend that was a girl. I never told him different, but he would say that she told him she was his girlfriend.

Then in Kindergaten the kids wrote short stories throughout the year and at the end of the year they had what they called Author's Tea in each class. Each child would read a story they had written during the year. My other twin was in this class and his story was about how he wanted to be a scientist when he grew up. There was another little girl who wrote about how when she grew up wanted to get married and then she went on and on about all the shopping she was going to do to fill up her house. It was actually a little sad that shopping seemed to be her dream, but I thought perhaps her Mom had been decorating that year. I recall her Mom later saying how she thought Andrew probably would be scientist one day and how she wouldn't mind her daughter marrying him. That was a little freaky.

I would ignore it and hope it ends soon.
