#1964, "It's been a long time since I've been here"

My boys are 7-1/2. They are in second grade. They are doing great and I know this because they basically drive me totally batty - LOL. We livein Jersey and it's been a long cold winter with way too much snow for my liking. The boys have done some of their first 'real' sledding (big hills) this year and are having a blast at that.

I'm a single mom (separated and then divorced since the boys were just itty bitty). I work full time. Own my own house now (well the morgage company owns it really, but I pay the bills). We squeak by each month and I usually rob peter to pay paul - but hey whatever works in these times right.

My boys are fun, rough and tumble, beat the heck out of each other by day and then I find all three asleep like a litter of puppies by night. We get way too much homework but are doing good in school. We head to church on Sundays. Play basketball this time of year. Signed up for Baseball and will play football in the fall again. We go and we do (heck we were at the playground saturday and sunday - yes it was snow covered - but wow does that make slides fun - LOL). I just try and keep them going and wear them out before they wear me out most days. The boys travel well. I've taken them to Cape Cod, Virginia Beach, North Carolina and all parts in between many times on my own. Last year at this time the boys and I were on a plane for a week at Disney and it was truly the most relaxing week I had since the boys were born. Disney just really knows how to do things right don't they? Of course I used every cent of my IRS refund to do it, but.... you only live once right?

I guess I'm just looking for some friendly triplet mom support. Honestly just feeling kind of washed out lately. I know its the winter weather and cabin fever. Because sure could use to talk to some moms that 'get it'.

If anyone would like to respond I'd appreciate it.
I'd love attach a pic of my trio, but just don't remember how to do that. Maybe someone could help me with that too.
Thanks,

Donna

You sound like you are doing a fabulous job and all on your own. Good for you! I love to read all the stuff you are still fitting in. Good job! I can only imagine that you are tired. Spring is on its way!

Hi Donna! My triplets are almost 7 and we love to travel too. Glad to see you on here and happy to get to know you better. This is a fun and frustrating age -- but aren't they all?!

Welcome back! Sounds like you are doing a great job. Triplets sure do keep us busy huh?!

My gang is 8 and in the 2nd grade also.

If you want to include a pic I find it easier to upload them to Photobucket and then paste the link here. HTH.

Hi Donna, I have bbb that are 7.5 and in 2nd grade also. It sounds like you have a lot to be proud of....great job!!! We did Disney in December and you are totally right that "Disney just knows how to do things". I love that place!!! Where are you in Jersey? My dh is from Philly and we make the trek from Chicago to OC, NJ every summer.

Well, hang in there. We're hoping for good weather soon too.

BTW, I think the best way to attach a picture is to upload it to photobucket and then link it in your post. It is not as hard as it sounds. Photobucket gives you the link to "share". ...hope to see a picture soon of your "big kids".

Hey Donna!

I remember you from the other TTC boards! It been a real long time and I am glad to hear you are doing so well! (mom to Evan, Owen and Emily)
My triplets just turned 7 and I have a 2 year old.
It's much harder in the winter for sure, hopefully only a few more weeks
and the warm weather will help all of us out.
I have always admired all that you do with your kids - they are lucky to have you!

Hi Donna,

Boy, you sound like you're doing a great job! I have BGB. My boys sound just like yours. Wow the energy they have is amazing. My DD is a social butterfly. It's funny but there is a difference between boys and girls.
Are your boys in different classes? Our kids are. We are going to request that 2 of them be in the same class in 2nd grade. The homework is a lot and I hear it just gets to be more and more. So for my sanity they have to combine the work some how.

We go to Hershey a lot. That's a great place. The chocolate doesn't hurt either.

Winter is coming to an end. Do you live in the part of Jersey that got hit with all that snow?
