We're finally getting the kids moved into twin beds. We've acquired our first bed from Craiglist. A Flexa loft bed, supposedly green and non-toxic.

But now for mattresses! I'm reading that most all mattresses are toxic due to the new flame retardent criteria they must meet. I need to buy three mattresses. Where can I find 3 affordable, comfortable mattresses that won't be sickening my kids as they sleep? Or is it all a bunch of hype and regular mattresses are fine afterall? All I plan to buy are mattresses, not boxsprings.

Has anyone just gone through this? Any online sites or brands you can recommend?

I haven't heard anything about this, other than the Temperpedic (memory foam) mattresses. I wonder if an allergy mattress cover would help?
