Hi - I just wanted to share a great place to go. We went to Rocking Horse Ranch and we ALL had a blast! It's so much more then just horses, they have something for everyone. Our dd loves horses our boys not so much but they went rock climbing, went in the fun house shot air ball guns, went to the indoor water park, it was non-stop fun for all. At night everyone just went to sleep there was no shhhh go to sleep their heads hit the pillows and they were out. We felt safe with our 7 year olds running around, they made so many friends and so did we, it was a great vacation. Just thought I share a fun time.

I dream of one of these family vacations. I have a friend whose whole extended family does this kind of thing every year and they have a blast. So not in the budget, at least until I go back to work, but it's on the list of things I want to do!

It's so worth saving for. I can't tell you how many activities they have. In the winter they have all the equipment to go sking right there, so you never have to get in your car to go anywhere. Our dd cried when we had to leave she had such a great time in fact come to think about it our kids didn't fight once they were all so busy. I hope you get a chance to go.

It's something I keep hearing about, and everyone says the same thing. The kids all want to go to Disney, and the adults want to go to Belize (I used to live there), but we end up visiting my family every year, and THAT's our vacation (???).

I gotta say Ali, my mom once told me that if you saw family on a trip it was no longer a vacation. Of course, it depends on the relatives but if we saw anyone in either of our families it would be stressful...some more than other. Actually the same goes for friends. We do have some relatives that end up having their only vacay's going up to see family but she's not very happy about it.

We seem to be on an every other year schedule for vacations. This year we are trying for Yellowstone on our own. Haven't tried a ranch but that does sound fun. Where was that one? We are close to Colorado and would love to go out and ski there sometime. (DH says "once we get in shape"....I say before we get too o...l...d)

Disney World would be fun but would have to save up for it for a while I think. Also someday want to get everyone up to Alaska before the oil companies ruin it all. (stepping off soapbox)
