#2251, "Placement for 1st grade"
|
I had the conversation with the principal today about placement for 1st and 2nd grade. When we talked about kindergarten, he said he wanted to split them into 4 different classes for 1st grade and my husband and I didn't want that. I was really worried about todays meeting.
He agreed to keep them 2 and 2 (the way they are now) through 2nd grade and he agreed to put them with the teachers I wanted them to have.
I am so excited because I really expected to have to fight him about it. He is a bit of an A$$, and my husband and I don't really care for him much, so I really expected him to insist on doing it his way. Go me!!! Dawn

Good for you! I got my way too!!!!!! My principal agreed to keep all three together for me in the same class. I told him that they don't look alike at all (they don't), that the other parents don't even know they are triplets, (they don't, they think I watch kids), that they have none of the same interests or friends, that they were IVF and came from three different sperm and eggs (swear to God, I said sperm) and they are no more genetically alike than any siblings, then just to add a cherry on top, I reached way, way, way, way back in my back pocket and pulled out the "brain tumor" card and he was like, "We'll do whatever you want."

It is amazing how separate they can be in the same classroom though. Our kindergarten teacher has NEVER had any of my kids sit at the same table. She also put one at the front of the line, one in the middle and one at the very end......very rude IMO. Sometimes when I think about it I feel like they followed my words but not my intent on keeping them together. They may as well be in different rooms as hard as she works to keep them apart.
