No big thing here today. We're taking down the Christmas decorations to make room for our New Year's Eve party. We've invited over several families from our church and their kids to just come hang out. It seems like the kiddos have been out of school for a very long time though. I think it's because they've had tobe inside because it's so cold. It's warming up today so hopefully we can get outside for a little bit.

1. What was the big hit gift? Nintendo Ds's

2. What was the looser gift? A shirt that my sil got dd. DD is teeny-tiny and sil bought her an XL!!!! My oldest dd shops at this particular store regularly and SHE wears a size small (she is just fitting into a size zero).

3. Any surprises, ones that did better or worse than you thought they would? One, but it wasn't with our family. My dbil bought a puppy for his family. He kept it a secret from the kids and his WIFE!

4. What was the favorite thing you got? A new ipod, a new desktop and laptop (both bought a month before Christmas)

5. What did you not get that you wished you had? A healthy dd. Katie came down with a sinus infection and was so sick on Christmas day. I felt so bad for her! She was absolutely miserable.

We are keeping it pretty low-key for New Years also. Just having a couple of friends over for snacks and drinks.

My last day of work, until Katie's recovery is complete, is this Weds. It's going to be a hard day. I LOVE what I do, will miss my co-workers, my boss and the patients.

Hi all -
Well I called in sick today - just felt run down and need to rest before more celebrating ! I feel very relieved to be having a low key day. It is cold and windy outside - poor dh is working right in the path of the wind as he works on our shed. The boys are working on their thank you notes and I am working on bills!

The wii

There wasn't one

3. Any surprises, ones that did better or worse than you thought they would?
The wii was the big surprise - boys have been told they could not have it till they are older but we gave grandparents the ok to give it to them

4. What was the favorite thing you got?
pasta maker attachment for my Kitchen Aid

5. What did you not get that you wished you had?
All debt paid off! Was just listening to Dave Ramsey !

We are going to visit friends for New Year's - will be mellow and fun. Then the weekend will be undecorating and getting back in gear for school
