#2945, "Only child issues"

Well, two of my 3 are off at grandmas for a few days. DD has been living it up being an "only child" for a bit. She skips and smiles everywhere we go. Of course, she has always been the one I most thought would enjoy being an only child.
Though her emotions at times tell me that she misses her brother and sister. We go pick them up tonight. Hopefully they will appreciate each other more after the short separation.

That is great that she gets to be an "only child" for a few days. I know mine love when they have an activity that is their's alone. Just wish I could engineer that more often! Most of the time it is all for one and one for all!

We love to shake up our dynamic a little bit now and again, too.

There's nothing more fun than to go to Grandma and Grandpa's for an overnight to feel like a special, only child.

And I have to be honest and say that it's fun to have 2 kids sometimes.

And when we're all together again, it's like everyone is happy and refreshed.

My gggg fought me over who was getting first hug when we picked up my older son from Webelos overnight camp. He was only gone 4 nights, but even the ones that fight with him the most missed him.
