Just wondering if any families have gone to DisneyWorld in the last year and where did you stay? Also, what did you like/not like. My 3 just turned 6 and are very excited about this special trip. Did anyone partake in the Cinderella Breakfast at the Magic Kingdom. Is it worthwhile?
Thanks much,
Camille

We were at Disney World in December, and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. It worked great for us. My daughter isn't interested in princess stuff so we didn't do the Cinderella breakfast, but we did have dinner with Mickey and Pluto. Have you visited any Disney boards? We booked through AAA and got a pretty good rate.

Let me know if you have specific questions. Disney really is magical.

We stayed at Buena Vista Suites when we went 6 years ago.
(I know that is a long time, but I still recommend looking into this)
It was very inexpensive, had 2 double beds in one room and a pull out couch with small fridge and microwave in other room. It also included a free breakfast in the am.

The nicest part was it was only 5 minutes to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. They do have a shuttle but since we had a car we drove to the parks and were ALWAYS first in line.
The other nice thing about being so close is since we got up early and were at the park first thing, we left around 1p, went back to the hotel for lunch, a swim and nap, then could head back to the park around 6p for the rest of the evening (not getting home until 10 or 11p).

We did go to the Cinderella Breakfast and loved it. My kids are quite shy and would never have gone up to any character. This allowed us to meet 5 or 6 characters without standing in any line. I have to admit my favorite picture is of my husband with Cinderella.
We took the very first reservation of the day so it also got us into the park early.

Have a great time.

We live in FL and go quite often. My mom owns a time share and we almost always stay at Disney's Old Key West. We get a one bedroom with a full kitchen. It sleeps 4 but we just don't tell them about the 3rd child. We fit all three on the pull out couch sideways. Your kids are a great age for Disney! We have never done the Cinderella Breakfast so I can't help there. The Character breakfast they do at the Contemporary is nice.

I live in South Florida and we go to Disney all the time. We either stay at World Quest or Sabal Plams in Marriott World Center. A villa is a must.

There are so many charater disney dining experiences. I dont think Cinderella is even at the breakfast? I think she only atends the dinner. I know the princesses are in Epcot for breakfast. Other favorites of mine are. The Crystal Place with pooh and friends or Liberty Taver in Magic Kindom. Um....The revolving resturant with Mickey and friends at Epcot...or breafast with everyone in Animal kindom. Also Cindella and the stepsisters do a dinner at the grand floridan thats cute.

We are planning a trip right now to Disney for April. I have purchased a book for our trip. It says that reservations for the Cinderella Breakfast at the Magic Kingdom can be made 180 days out and says it will fill up immediately. Since I didn't start planning untl after 180 days from our trip, I haven't even tried to do that one.

We have never gone, but are staying in a condo about 15 minutes away, but we have a family of 7, so we would never fit into a small room.

We went in May and stayed at the Grand Floridian. Where our room was we were able to stand on our balcony and see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom every night.
The best breakfast we had was the one at Epcot-it was all the princesses except Cinder and Ariel (I guess). It was in Norway I think. We liked the Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian, but my girls were scared of the stepmom (they played their roles well). We loved the Alice in Wonderland breakfast at the Grand Floridian-very entertaining!
If your daughters go to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, go early in the day. Our reservation was at 5:30, we were late getting out and missed taking them to dinner. We ended up taking them to the place in Town Hall to get their portraits taken, went home and washed the hairspray out and got to bed by 11. It was a lot of money for nothing- but at least I learned a simple way to do a bun!
I was disappointed because I figured we would stay at the park from dawn to dusk and do everything- but about 5-6 things and they were spent.
The spectro-magic parade is awesome. Get there early and get a good seat. We sat in front of Exposition Hall by the trash can- perfect place as they come around the corner.
I hope you have fun!

We stayed off property and rented a condo. I loved it. 3 bedrooms, washer/dryer, of course kitchen and livingroom and 2 full baths. Pool/hot tub, tennis courts, playground. It was $600 for 7 nights. It was really nice not that we spent much time there. We got up every day and headed to the parks and got back late. Only swam twice late. (note those glow in the dark bracelets and sticks you can get on necklaces make great diving sticks for night swimming!)

I don't know when you are planning on going but I strongly recommend late Sept to anyone planning a trip to Disney World. We went this past year out of necessity. I wasn't happy about having to take the kids out of school rather than going in the summer. But we had NO LINES. Rode everything in every park multiple times. Got to go to the Disney Halloween party Tuesday night and didn't even have to get off Thunder mountain Railroad and space mountain between rides many times because there were no lines waiting. The kids were so spoiled the few times we had to wait 5 or 10 mins in line they were complaining it was taking so long. LOL If they only knew what normal was there. It took longer to walk through the ques then the waits. If we ever go again we will be missing a week of school in late Sept.

While I can't speak for Disney World, we just took our family to Disney Land over Christmas. My girls favorite thing was meeting the princesses. We went to lunch at Ariels Grotto and it was pricey ($34.99 adults and $19.99 for kids) but worth every dime. Each princess spent time at our table and we got to see them all in one setting. No rushing, spent time talking to each girl and taking pics with each one and as a group. No waiting in lines at the park. To top it off, each of our girls each recieved a princess out-fit from Grandma for Christmas that they wore to lunch.

We have the best photos and memories from this one event. I wish I had booked another meal with the other disney characters as well.....would do it again in a heart beat. It was the highlight of our trip.

Hope that helps.
