I am posting this on the elem board b/c I am hoping to learn from the experts . My little ones will start all-day preschool this year. I work full-time out of the home, but until now I have had a nanny at home with them. This will be all new to me as I have no other children.

What tips or advice can you share? Anything that helps you organize yourself and your family? Anything you learned the hard way that you wish you had known in the beginning? Tips to get out the door? Tips to balance it all?

My best advice is to do as much as possible the night before--lunches, clothes, shoes, socks, backpacks, jackets. The better organized you are the smoother the morning will go. I would also suggest not watching any TV unless it is when the kids are completely ready. And, make sure the kids get a good nights sleep.

Just set your routine and continue with it each day. We have our kids get dressed and then have breakfast. Other people want to do breakfast first. It may be trial and error figuring out what works best.
