Do you have any positive teenager experiences to relate. We tend to focus on the negative aspects of teenager behavior -- the old greasy-wheel concept...LOL! The obnoxious tends to get our attention.


My three 14 year old boys helped out on Saturday to move friends into their new house (old, freshly remolded house, actually). We spent the day moving boxes and furniture from the old house into a big truck, and unloading it at the new place. A couple of the boys left for a couple hours to get rocks from the river with their mom for her garden, and one returned to the moving activities while the other went to his mom's house to unload the rocks.

No whining, great attitude the whole time...and it was about a11-hour day (including the pizza dinner at the end of the day). One boy even volunteered to help out on Sunday, but it was their mom's weekend for the boys and it did not work out.

All the folks helping out were impressed with my boys -- I am proud of them.

I'm proud of my 2 year olds (I know, not what you were looking for) and I think it's great that you're a proud father. Too bad nobody else was chiming in.
