#79, "will I survive this?"
|
I have 8 1/2 triplet girls and it is a daily struggle. I also teach kindergarten so maybe I am just surrounded by children 24 hours a day which can burn a mother out. They were together in second grade and will remain separated for the remaining elem years. Is this age just tough? I have 2 that argue a lot and I am so tired of it. The thoughts of this summer with them are depressing instead of joyful. I am signing them up for 2 half day camps - one for a week and one for 3 days. They will go to VBS and we will visit the library often. I am not wealthy and having to pay x 3 gets expensive (as I am sure you know). I guess I am looking for someone who has all girls that can give me advice. It just seems to be getting harder with them everyday. Jennifer ggg, 8 1/2

I remind my girls that if it's the battle of the wills, I WILL win. Too much bickering, bantering, or simply getting on my nerves (with ample warning) someone will loose their room for a month. If they can't get along with nighttime separation, let them struggle to get along with literal 24/7 togetherness. Amazingly, it's worked every time. The solution is short lived, but am still hopeful that a permanent friendship will someday transpire. Tracey, busy mom to: Michael (16) Francesca (15) Matt, Lexi, Gabi (13) AFS exchange student Alice (17)

I have a mix of 2 boys and 1 girl - they are aged 9 and I too am fed up with constant fighting and bickering - it involves all three of them so at the moment I dont see any difference with the boys and my girl. I try and get mine out of the house as much as I can - they dont get to go to camps but even just out on their bikes or with friends can be enough - the xbox is our latest battle and thats causing big rows - I can sympathise with how you feel!
