#36, "My DD is now 27 1/2 weeks"

It is so hard to see my daughter uncomfortable. Sleeping is difficult and breathing is hard. The one little boy is laying sideways accross her under her breasts. The girls are below and everyone is fighting for a spot. I am somewhat relieved that we have reached this point as I feel like everyone has a chance now to make it thou we are hoping to get to 32 weeks. Whatever God's plan, we are in.
I wonder if any of your girls experience the negative reactions from friends. My SIL seems quite depressed at the reactions from people who keep telling them they don't know what they are in for, and they are going to have an impossible task. Sleep deprivation being the one that goes with it. My kids are really nervous due to all these reactions. Did any of you experience this and if so how did you handle it? I personally am thrilled, but will be happy when all have arrived safe and sound in this world. I think this triplet experience is a blessing from God, but others don't think it thay way.

One of the last times I saw my DD before she delivered, she was in so much pain that she could barely walk. My heart ached for her, but she didn't complain (she was in the hospital at this point)

Oddly enough, there was only one negative reaction. When I told someone where I worked that she was pregnant with triplets, she asked if she was going to 'keep' them all, meaning was she going to terminate? Everyone else was thrilled and knew if anyone could do it, she could. I told her often that she would need help - they worked out a system and did very well without a lot of help other than folks coming sometimes to help feed the boys and also meals the first few weeks which is a HUGE help! Your DD quite honestly may not know what kind of help she wants/needs until they arrive but meals, cleaning, etc. will always be appreciated.

There are some safe sleep helps. Her doctor could prescribe one for her! I have read that it makes a huge difference and I am sure sleeping well a few nights at least, would! Your DD is doing great!!!

Thank you for your advice, and the information about your daughter.
You were lucky you had such positive people around you. We have a mixed crowd. I have always kept positive about the triplets as I am thrilled to pieces that we have been so blessed. I know my daughter is up to the challenge as she is very healthy and active normally.
Thank you for your response.
